Edgar Lynn "Ed" Campbell, 55, of Greenville, Texas and previously of Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away on, Saturday May 13, 2017 in Plano, Texas, having been involved in a motorcycle accident due to oncoming traffic failing to stop at a red light.
Ed was born at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware to Betty Lou (Falls) and Davis Campbell on June 25, 1961. He graduated from Goddard High School, near their home in Wichita, Kansas.

Edgar Lynn "Ed" Campbell, 55, of Greenville, Texas and previously of Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away on, Saturday May 13, 2017 in Plano, Texas, having been involved in a motorcycle accident due to oncoming traffic failing to stop at a red light.
Ed was born at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware to Betty Lou (Falls) and Davis Campbell on June 25, 1961. He graduated from Goddard High School, near their home in Wichita, Kansas.
Ed was a Facilities and Operations Manager for a number of companies including: Chugach, Fannie Mae, and Community Health Service Agency, Inc. He was a veteran of the Gulf War; serving in the United States Army, and was awarded numerous Achievement, Good Conduct and Service medals. He was honorably discharged in 1997 after having been stationed in South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Germany, and Washington.
Ed was an avid Harley Davidson owner, rider, and enthusiast. He loved 70's rock and playing drums in his younger years. He will be sadly missed and warmly remembered as an amazing son, brother, husband, father, and best friend, who made each of us laugh whenever in his presence.
In addition to his parents, Ed is survived by his wife, Pam; son, Brandon and his wife, Bethany; daughter, Brittanie; sister, Candace Campbell-Rhodenizer and her husband, Gene also one of Ed's close friends, and their children, Olivia, Sydney, and Cameron, grandson Liam, and special friend, Danette Cordone; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Monroe officiating. A graveside services will be conducted with Military Honors on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Culpeper National Cemetery, 305 US Ave, Culpeper, Virginia.
Active pallbearers will be Brandon Campbell, Gene Rhodenizer, Jeff Falls, Larry Saunders, Wayne Campbell, Geoff Truslow, Greg Truslow, and Adam Sutphin.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Truslow, Gene Sutphin, and Galen Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, Ed would have appreciated a donation to the Veterans Administration Charity.
Ed's family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to the Greeneville police and investigation departments, the Fire & Rescue departments and all hospital personnel who assisted Ed during this time, as well as, the Waynesboro Police department.
