Margaret Virginia (Bulle) Hamilton, 91, of Waynesboro passed away on October 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Augusta County on September 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Hugh Edward and Stella (Western) Bulle.
Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church in Waynesboro. She was employed by DuPont, where she met her beloved husband, and she served at Ladd Elementary School. Margaret greatly enjoyed playing softball and tending to her garden and flower beds. She was an avid baseball and basketball fan. Margaret will be remembered for her easy going...

Margaret Virginia (Bulle) Hamilton, 91, of Waynesboro passed away on October 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Augusta County on September 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Hugh Edward and Stella (Western) Bulle.
Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church in Waynesboro. She was employed by DuPont, where she met her beloved husband, and she served at Ladd Elementary School. Margaret greatly enjoyed playing softball and tending to her garden and flower beds. She was an avid baseball and basketball fan. Margaret will be remembered for her easy going spirit and for her devotion to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John D. Hamilton; three brothers, Malcom, Carl and Clarence Bulle; and one sister, Dorothy Breeden.
Survivors include her children, Sandra I. Hamilton of Waynesboro, Melvin E. Hamilton and wife, Cathy of Longwood, FL, Darlene H. Spitzer and husband, Ken of Fulks Run, Marie H.P. Rhodes and husband, Fred of Harrisonburg, and Doris E. Hamilton and fiancÚ, Clinton Stevens of Waynesboro; siblings, Hazel Andes of Grottoes and Bobby Bulle of Staunton; grandchildren, Elizabeth Conway, Shaun McVey, Chris Hamilton, Amy Clay, Terry Underwood, Jr., Kevin Rhodes, Conrad Pennington and James Stevens; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, 301 S. Wayne Ave., with Pastor Barrett Owen officiating. Burial will be private at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
