Robin (Layne) Arey, 54, of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
Robin was born in Charlottesville on September 15, 1963. She was a lover of old things, anything vintage and anything historical captured her attention. Robin loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a free-spirit with a beautiful heart who loved the beauty of the mountains.

Robin was born in Charlottesville on September 15, 1963. She was a lover of old things, anything vintage and anything historical captured her attention. Robin loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a free-spirit with a beautiful heart who loved the beauty of the mountains.
Robin is survived by her mother, Linda (Hahn) Cash of Crimora; father, Donnie Layne of Waynesboro; children, Sarah Stevens and husband, Travis of Waynesboro, Amanda Martin of Staunton, Cody Austin and wife, Hettie of Staunton and Justin Austin and wife, Amanda of Fishersville; brother, Troy Layne of Waynesboro; sister, Tonia Johnson and husband, Ron of Staunton; grandchildren, Jacob Stevens and wife, Adrienne, Justin Martin, Nicholas Martin, Maranda Martin, Breanna Berry, Corwin Harman, Gabriel Austin, Tara Stevens, Grady Austin, Brandon Stevens and Waylon Austin; great-granddaughter, Quinn and a special friend Peter Griffin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Cornerstone Church of Augusta, 1156 Tinkling Spring Road, Staunton with Pastors Greg Mayo and William Cole officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 68 Benz Road, Waynesboro or Cornerstone Church of Augusta.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
